Simple DIY Fringe Scarf

My apologies for the lack of posts for nearly a month. I had been experiencing internet problems, but I am back up and running! I trust everyone has been having a spectacular season of Fall. Today's post is a how-to on a very simple DIY Fringe Scarf courtesy of Pinterest and my good friend Logan.

What You Need:
An Old T-Shirt
Scissors

The steps are extremely simple! Find an old t-shirt (cotton, stretchy, whichever) that you don't mind cutting up. Grab a pair of shears and cut straight across the shirt starting from the armholes. This creates a rectangular tube. From there, make a series of verticle strips across the bottom where the seam is. Tug on each string to elongate the fringe. If you choose, knot some or all of the ends. Your end product will look like this:

Thank you Logan for the idea on this DIY and sparking my creativity for this blog post! I invite all of you to make your own t-shirt fringe scarf.

Enjoy <3

Pumpkin Fever

So this past weekend I threw my new apartment's housewarming party with the theme of "Party Like a Rockstar". With fake stick-on mustaches and Christmas tinsel strewn about the next morning I believe it's safe to say much fun was had and everyone had a great time!

Anyways, since it is now officially the beginning of October and the countdown to one of my most favorite holidays has started...I introduce a post devoted to pumpkins :)

Why not, instead or maybe in addition to carving, decorate a pumpkin this year. We all know if you want a real one that is going to rot by the time Halloween gets here, pick one up at your local supermarket. But if you want one that you can keep for ongoing Halloweens, stop by Hobby Lobby or Michaels for a plastic one. The other week they were on sale for like $10. In fact, if you go to Michael's for your fake pumpkin, Martha (Stewart of course) has really cool stuff to decorate your pumpkins with.
Here's a couple of examples:

This is probably what I would do. Spray paint the stem gold, add a ribbon and lots of glitter.

Now, if you go the carving route, why not add a black felt mask to your pumpkins? 3 Musketeers :)

A little scary, but I kind of giggled when I saw the sad little pumpkin getting eaten by the mean pumpkin.

This is just a cute little wedding photo I found on Pinterest. Pretty ring.

Is this not the cutest thing ever? My poor future child will probably have to do this.

Last but not least, if you love to entertain as much as I do then you'll appreciate the Pumpkin Punch bowl/Bucket
