My dearest friends,
It's been a while, huh? This summer has been a whirlwind of changes that for the most part have all been pretty amazing. I have roughly four more weeks of my 10-week internship! Where has the time gone? In one month I'll finally be graduating and officially moving on from the life I've had for the past five years. Crazy right?
Well, besides my internship (which you'll be getting to read about in the next post) I also had one of the best three days of my entire summer this past week!

For anyone who hasn't heard about my crazy roommate Ethan, let me just share with you a little about who he is. I met Ethan the first week of college after moving into the dorms at school. My room had what I like to call, a creeper window, that overlooked the front of Maple and its front door.
One day I hear the most bizarre thing happening so I decided to look outside and I see this fool standing on a picnic table, shirtless, with a guitar-hero guitar and he's singing to everyone at the top of his lungs as they walk in the door. My friend Irene's response to it was "We should be friends with this guy!!" and mine was ".......Really?" haha. He's also the guy who's convinced that he's a werewolf when he's drunk so he jumps off balconies and howls. He's also auditioned for the Real World about 4 times!
Having said all that, it shouldn't have been much of a surprise when he came back from Tennessee about a month ago and told me about some people he met when he was by himself at a bar that are from Switzerland and are touring America.
So this past Sunday, Haley (our other roommate/Ethan's fiance) and I get all dolled up to meet them in uptown Dallas with Ethan. Long story short, we all got along so well that we invited them to stay with us on Monday night and let us cook dinner for them.
-Side Bar- Monday, just so happened to be one of the worst Mondays in the history of all Mondays. Between having a flat tire and relying on people that were kind enough to help me bounce around from lunch to satellite office, satellite office to corporate office, back to satellite office and then two gentlemen that helped me change my flat tire! That said, I was extremely excited knowing that when I eventually got home not only would we be entertaining our guests, but also that I'd get to hang out with Cute Benjamin :)
Monday night we take them to our favorite local watering hole in Denton called Lucky Lous and spend the evening hanging out and getting to know them. I was completely caught off guard with how fascinating I find the differences in culture between America and Switzerland! It's a topic that can keep you engaged for literally hours! So, after our trip to Denton we show them the tradition of eating Whataburger at 2am.
Tuesday comes around and we invite them to spend one more evening with us because we all enjoyed having them over so much. They graciously accepted and yet another evening was well spent with our Switzerland friends. Tuesday night we decide to take them out for some good ol' fashioned, down home cooked barbeque! We introduced them to Jersey Shore (hah, duh because it's one of my roommates and I's favorite shows) and spent the evening at our house. I don't think I went to bed until 4am, only to be awake for work at 7!!

Getting to know Beat (pronounced Bee-aht), Benjamin, and Benjamin was a pleasure and a blessing! The roommates and I plan to visit them next Spring and have them show us around. I can't wait to the next day that we all get to hang out again, especially with Cute Benjamin :)

Your roomate sounds awesome :)
